Instructional Design

Hello and welcome to my portfolio! My name is Rebecca Vickers, and I am currently embarking on an exciting journey into the world of instructional design. This portfolio is a living space where I share the projects and insights I gain as I explore how art education can be enhanced and supported through instructional design and technology.

As an interdisciplinary American artist based in Bangkok, Thailand, I bring a decade of experience in art education and a diverse artistic practice into my current studies in Instructional Design. I hold an MFA in Visual Art from Silpakorn University, Bangkok, and a BS in Fine Art from the University of Wisconsin-Madison. I have participated in both solo and group exhibitions internationally, including the Bangkok Biennial here in Thailand (2018, 2020), the Asia in Space Art Festival in South Korea (2021), and the Midwest Video Poetry Festival in my hometown of Madison, Wisconsin (2020). I have also enjoyed the opportunity to serve as the Artist-in-Residence at the Madison Public Library in Wisconsin, USA (2020), and as the Community and Education Artist-in-Residence at the Singapore Art Museum (2022).

My career is marked by a commitment to integrating art with community and education, reflected in collaborative projects with educational institutions and public engagements. My artistic endeavors aim to foster meaningful social dialogue and community involvement.
